The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (MoALI), together with the selected Netherlands Consortium ( consisting of RHDHV, ARCADIS, NEPS and Flood Consult) organized a kick-off workshop, to discuss the Pan Hlaing sluice project. The invited stakeholders were given the opportunity to elaborate on four different aspects, ranging from investments in the Pan Hlaing river, the impacts of the sluice project, different location preferences, and involvement of different parties. With 80 participants from diverse backgrounds, many valuable points of concern were collected. A full report of this kick off meeting will be made public soon. In addition to the representation by the Netherlands Embassy in Yangon, also an RVO mission took part in this interesting workshop. More
