Today the program for the MyanmarWater 2018 Conference was announced during a press conference attended by representatives form UMFCCI, Myanmar Engineering Society, Myanmar Industries Association.

The MyanmarWater event will be held in the new Yangon Convention Centre on October 11 to 13, 2018. UMFCCI Joint Secretary U Myo Thant highlighted that the trade show is of great importance to the Myanmar water sector:

"We should check out the international products from exhibitors. When they invest in Myanmar, job opportunities will be created for the citizens and we are going to experience using the advanced technology from other country", he mentioned.

During the conference in October, special focus will be on sustainable urban water management and wastewater treatment. In separate sessions, speakers from Myanmar Engineering Society and YCDC will discuss the opportunities that exist and importance of continued development on these topics.

"In Myanmar, we can produce only raw materials from natural resources. We still are not able to manufacture the products from our own raw materials. Myanmar should be turned into market explorer to sell their own products, not always become like market that every international organization can promote or sell their products to our local company" said by U Aye Tun, Vice President of Myanmar Industrial Association.

"In order to change the situation, we need to learn from their experience and technology and share knowledge to improve the development in every sector", U Khin Maung Htay, vice president from Myanmar Engineering Society added.

The event gives the opportunity for new collaborations within, but also across sectors as multiple industries will be represented. Simultaneous with MyanmarWater 2018 the trade show on Renewable Energy, Construction, Power and MTA Myanmar will take place in the Yangon Convention Center.

The event will be free of charge, everyone is encouraged to attend. MyanmarWater 2018 is relevant for any industry professional –
