Launching new website for WASAG – the Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture

FAO_Waterreport-645x410 Agriculture and Water

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is launching a dedicated website to serve the growing needs of its member countries, as well as those of other partners and stakeholders by hosting the Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG) in its Land and Water Division. As a collaborative platform where key players across the globe and from different sectors, WASAG work together towards a common vision of a world whose food systems are secure and resilient to increasing water scarcity in a changing climate.

The new website has been designed to have sufficient flexibility to accommodate the anticipated continued growth of the partnership as it delivers more outputs in response to the challenges of water scarcity in agriculture.

The Key features of the new WASAG website are

  • The main page of the WASAG website is now presented in all six UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish).
  • Partners, especially those active in the WASAG working groups, have space to share more information.
  • Space has also been provided for greater engagement at regional and country levels, as provided by the WASAG Strategy for 2021-2024.
