Local NGO launches online training to promote community-based ecotourism

30 Dec 2020 - Source: Global New Light of Myanmar - The Fauna & Flora International – Myanmar Programme launched the Zoom Online Training starting from 7 December to promote community-based ecotourism in Indawgyi Lake and nearby areas. "The online training is conducted under three programmes," said U Zaw Min Tun, the Field Coordinator from FFI.
A total of 12 participants from the members of the community-based tourism from Lone San village, Lae Pone Lay village and Tone San Ka village, the surrounding villages of Indawgyi Town, and Inn lover social development and ecotourism group attended the first two programmes.
"The training was given in Nant Mon and Indawgyi. The first programme is only in theory. In the second programme, the people were divided into three groups to develop the tour itinerary, the duration of the tour, expenses and biodiversity near Sin Khaung mountain, Shwe Myitzu pagoda and Lwe Mon, and the third programme is practical," he added.—Kyaw Kyaw Htwe (IPRD) (Translated by Ei Phyu Phyu Aung)
