The Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) has invited expressions of interest (EOI) to help preserve Yangon's famous Inya Lake.
"Local and foreign companies, as well as joint ventures, who would like to assist us in preserving Inya Lake can submit their EOI's," said U Lin Htin Kha, deputy director from YCDC Water Resources and Water Supply Authority.
Technically conservation measures which aim to sustain the lake and make it more appealing will begin in 2021. Some new bridges and sidewalks in the park are currently under construction.
"Some measures will also help to maintain the lake's water level, so it does not evaporate away in the dry seasons," he said.
EOI application forms can be obtained from the Water Resources and Water Supply Authority offices from November 23. Applications need to be submitted in person before January 13, 2021.
Inya Lake was constructed in 1884, for the purpose of supplying drinking water to Yangon residents. - Translated
