Myanmar: Embankment of Zarmani dam burts, flooding 30 squatter houses

NAYPYITAW (Eleven Media Group/ ANN) - About 30 squatter houses were flooded when the embankment preventing sewage entering Zarmani dam in Thanlyin Township broke down yesterday morning, according to Irrigation Department from Southern District.

"It isn't the dam that's broken, it is just the embankment," said Kyaw Kyaw Aung, In-Charge of Irrigation Department from Southern District.
