Drilling-1

07 Sep 2020 - Source: Global New Light of Myanmar - A drilling in Htantalan, Chin State, struck water on Sunday, supplying drinking water to the town which has a population of over 10,000 people.

The water gushed out of the tubewell at the depth of 520 feet with a rate of 5,000 gallons of water per hour. With the success of the drilling, the well becomes the 278th tubewell of the KBZ Bank which has been carrying out water supply project in water scarce areas.

More tubewells will be drilled with British-made Dando drilling machinery-1 in other parts of Chin State including Htantalan Technical High School.

Another success in drilling a tubewell was found at the Ministry of Health and Sports on 30 August in Nay Pyi Taw Ottarathiri Township.

The tubewell is providing drinking water to over 1,000 governmental employees at a rate of 1,500 gallons per hour.

Next water facility will be drilled with the same drilling machinery-2 in Aungban, Shan State.
