The first aquatic museum of Myanmar will complete in December

The first international-standard Myanmar Aquarium including an underwater tunnel is expected to complete in coming December according to Mottma Development Group. It is being constructed in Kandawgyi Garden in Yangon where former aquarium existed.
Construction of Mirror walls have completed in May and construction of lakeside plaza will be completed in August, it is expected. Industrial sector, interior decoration, electricity of the aquarium and outside decoration are being carried out. It is built on the five acres of land and it will showcase fresh and salt water fish from northernmost part of Myanmar to southernmost part. There will be booths for various kinds of fish species, training center for conducting training, restaurants, recreation centers, and booths selling marine products altogether over 30 will be included.
The Yangon Ecological Aquarium project has been established in 2-16 under the leadership of Yangon Region Government. Myanmar investment Commission gave green light to its first international-standard aquarium with initial total investment amount of US$ 30 million. Due to increase of investment in building the aquarium, the project has been submitted to Yangon Region Government and rent period is 40 years under the permission of Fishery Department.
