Recap of Facebook Campaign - "Water Wave" Campaign

MWP-Giveaway

Last month we launched our very first Facebook campaign on the  Facebook – it was the very first time we did this, aiming to increase engagement with our online community.

Under the name of 'Creating a Water Wave', we asked our followers to share their favourite article of the Myanmar Water Portal on their profiles using the hashtag #waterMM. Our Portal's aim is to increase communication in the water sector and encouraging water professionals to share about their journey, report on events and activities. By creating a 'wave' of Myanmar water news on Facebook as well we hope to encourage this, but also spread the word about our portal – who are we and what do we do.

It is interesting to see which articles were most shared as favourites, like the following:
1. Climate change and deep adaptation in Myanmar.
2. Sanitation Assessment - Report (ROSAMUR Project).
3. Climate Change, Sea Level Rising and Increase of Temperature Threat to Groundwater at Coastal Low Land and Ayeyarwady Delta Myanmar.

As part of the campaign, a giveaway was launched – awarding 15 lucky participants with a unique Myanmar Water Portal bottle.

We are thinking about future campaigns and would much appreciate your feedback and ideas. Do let us know if you have any questions or comments?
We are very grateful for all that participated. Once again congratulations to our winners!
