| Event Description: | The Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MONREC), the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation (MOALI), and the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) are now conducting the collaborative project namely, “Integrated Water Resource Management - Institutional Building and Training” in Myanmar. The project has an aim to develop suggestions for Myanmar water quality criteria. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss water quality criteria for rivers in Myanmar. There will be presentations by individual speakers and also group discussion. Minutes from the meeting will be distributed for commenting to the participants. Besides, a report including on water quality criteria for rivers in Myanmar drawing on the input from this workshop will be published later in 2018. |
